The open-back, traditional "Babouche" slipper is a throwback to 17th century French courtiers whose main cares were luxury and appearance. With the exaggerated point at the toes and the particular softness of the leather, these slippers were popular centuries ago and the style was recently featured as a Vogue must-have.

These house slippers are made with strong but soft goat leather to provide ultimate comfort and durability. Some things are better with time... these slippers will mold to the shape of your foot. Packaged in an organza drawstring pouch, these make the perfect girl-friend gift.

Vibrant Colors straight from Mother Nature

The tanneries in Fez and Marrakech are famous for the brilliant colors and assortment of hides. Vegetable dyes such as saffron (yellow), mint (green), poppy flower (red), indigo (blue), henna (orange), and cedar wood (brown) are used to create these gorgeous hues. The slippers in the Verve Culture Collection are elevated with embroidery and tassels. They are available in two iconic color combinations orange with blue embellishment and blue with fuchsia.

Fine-Tuned Craftsmanship

Chouara Tannery in the oldest Medina quarter of Fez dates back to the 11th century. Talk about fine-tuning your craft! Today, the tanneries of Fez and Marrakech continue to produce some of the most highly sought leathers in all the world.
