This exotic floral scented deodorant draws out impurities and helps restore balance to your skin. Includes an “Armpit Detox” that preps skin to maximize our deodorants benefits. Dermatologist tested and approved.

We live in a humid, tropical climate so we understand the importance of a good deodorant. That is why we developed ours using key ingredients that have anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties that get to the root cause of armpit odor, bacteria, without the cost of any harmful synthetic ingredients or chemicals that can break down your armpit skin’s natural barrier and microbiome.

Our Mayan Black salt is extracted by families in the Guatemalan Highlands using over 100 year-old traditions. The painstaking process takes weeks to complete, and the knowledge of the sacred practice is waning. Salt has effective anti-bacterial properties and draws out impurities from your skin, which is especially important in your armpit, where the skin can be very sensitive. Ylang Ylang essential oil adds an exotic floral scent and works to balance the sebum in your skin.

Cocoa butter and coconut oil, which are also locally and sustainably sourced, both act to protect and moisturize skin. Believe it or not, our armpits are home to 20 lymphnodes. We aren’t here to give you a biology lesson but our lymhnodes are a vitally important part of our immune system and serve to filter out toxins from our tissues. Our armpits deserve to be cared for in a way that reflects their fundamentally important role as a part of our body. Our natural ingredients help to nourish and protect our armpit’s and show them the love they deserve.

If you are new to natural deodorants or have been looking around for one, you may be aware of the stinky ‘transition period’ during which your body adjusts to using a natural deodorant in place of your previous ones.  This can be an awkward time to get through as no-one wants to have bad smelling armpits in a business meeting or in public.

This is where our ‘Armpit Detox’ provides an unmatched value. Not only does it eliminate the whole transition period, meaning that our deodorant is effective immediately, but it is also a fun, novel experience for a part of the body that doesn’t normally get this kind of attention. Treat yourself to an armpit mask with Mayan Red Clay and Volcanic Sulphur and see the difference for yourself.

Why it works - the clay is rich is calcite, iron and other minerals and has a low PH which is unusual for a clay - often clay masks recommend combining with apple cider vinegar or other low PH product in order to lower the PH. The lower PH is important because the higher (more alkaline) the PH of the skin, the more possibility there is of body-odor producing bacteria. The yin to the clay’s yang is the volcanic sulfur, hand collected from the active volcanoes in Guatemala. Sulphur works to dry out problem areas while exfoliating and shedding dead skin cells to make way for newer healthy skin, which kills bacteria and prevents it from spreading.

Instructions: Mix the contents of the sachet with a little water to make a paste. Apply the paste to the armpits and let it dry for 10-15min. Rinse in the shower.

Mayan Black Salt is a special ingredient, as it is still considered sacred by the Maya. It was one of the early commodities of the ancient Maya, as it was harvested along riverbeds and transported to other communities. This salt is collected using centuries-old methods passed down through families in the highlands of Guatemala. It is a rigorous and ancient process, only practiced by few now.

Bees were considered holy by the ancient Maya. They were revered as symbols of fertility and even had their own deity: Ah-Muzen-Kab. They were some of the earliest beekeepers, as they harvested honey and beeswax for sacred rituals and looked after the bees so no harm would come to them. Our artisan mountain beeswax is harvested on a small-scale, using sustainable methods practiced by local farmers.

cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, theobroma cacao (cacao) seed butter, cera alba (beeswax), sodium bicarbonate, maranta arundinacea (arrowroot) root powder, zinc oxide, sodium chloride(black salt), ricinus communis (castor) seed oil, copernicia cerifera (carnauba) wax, lactobacillus ferment, pelargonium roseum (geranium) leaf oil, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower oil, citrus grandis (grapefruit) seed extract, tocopherol, cananga odorata (ylang ylang) flower oil.

Warm a small amount between your fingers then massage into the skin of your armpits. It may feel a tiny bit sticky for the first couple of minutes (because of the beeswax), but this passes as it is absorbed. Re-apply as necessary.
