Paper: Made in Sri Lanka from elephant dung. Why? Elephant dung is a free resource that once cleaned and processed, makes a great textured paper. Elephants are being killed in Sri Lanka, but thanks to Project Maximus (Ellie Pooh Paper) using elephant dung has helped to raise farmers’ tolerance towards elephants as they are now seen as an economic asset.
Printing: Each card is hand block printed by a young adult in a training program for those with autism and severe handicap disabilities in India. The proceeds from these cards support their education and on-going training.
Dyes: All dyes are an eco-friendly Azo-free pigment dye.
*Due to the handmade nature of these products there may be a 5-10% shade variation from the picture of the garment to the actual product you receive.
